An Experienced Septic Company Matters

This is an interesting industry to be in.

Companies come and go, and unfortunately, not all of them stay around long enough to stand behind their work. Over the years, we’ve seen businesses appear quickly, take on jobs, and disappear just as quickly.

That can leave homeowners in a difficult position.

With regulations and enforcement varying from one area to another, homeowners can sometimes be left vulnerable to poor workmanship, bad advice, unnecessary repairs, or systems that were never installed correctly in the first place.

And when something goes wrong, the homeowner is usually the one left paying the price.

We’ve been in this business for more than 23 years, and it still breaks our hearts every time we meet someone who has been left with a mess they never should have had to deal with.

Sometimes it’s a system that was installed incorrectly from the start. Sometimes it’s a repair that only treated the symptom instead of fixing the real problem. Sometimes it’s a homeowner who was told they needed expensive work when a much simpler solution would have taken care of the issue.

We’ve seen enough over the years to know that septic work is one area where experience really does matter.

The Cheapest Option Can Become the Most Expensive

We understand that price matters. Septic work can be expensive, and homeowners naturally want to make sure they are getting a fair deal.

But the lowest price is not always the best value.

If a system is installed incorrectly, if the wrong components are used, or if shortcuts are taken, those savings can disappear very quickly. A homeowner may end up paying again to correct work that should have been done right the first time.

We have encountered systems that had to be significantly repaired, modified, or even replaced because of mistakes made during the original installation.

That is why we always encourage homeowners to thoroughly vet the company they are considering.

Ask how long they have been in business. Ask about licensing. Ask whether they have experience with the type of system being installed or repaired. Ask who will be doing the actual work. Ask if they have a storefront and.avoid providers that run their business from their truck. And do not be afraid to ask for references..

A septic system is a major investment. It deserves more consideration than simply choosing the lowest bid or trusting a sales pitch..

Repairs Should Start With Diagnosis

The same thing applies to repairs.

Anyone can replace a part. The important question is whether that part was actually the problem.

At Coleman Aerobic, troubleshooting is one of the areas where we shine. With both electrical and plumbing expertise on our team, we’re able to look beyond the obvious and evaluate the system as a whole. We believe in finding out why something failed before recommending a repair.

A pump may have stopped working, but what caused it to fail? A breaker may keep tripping, but why? A spray head may not be working properly, but is the spray head really the problem—or is something else going on in the system?

Replacing parts without diagnosing the cause can turn into an expensive guessing game for the homeowner.

We don’t believe in that.

Reputation Is Built Over Time

More than 23 years in business has taught us a lot.

It has taught us that doing the right thing matters, even when nobody is watching.

It has taught us that customers remember how you treated them long after the job is finished.

And it has taught us that your reputation is something you build one customer, one repair, and one installation at a time.

We are proud of the fact that many of our customers have trusted us for years. We are proud when they refer their friends, family, and neighbors to us. And we are especially proud when someone tells us they called Coleman because they wanted a company that would still be here if they needed us later.

That means more to us than any advertisement ever could.

An Experienced Septic Company Matters. Know Who You’re Trusting

Whether you are choosing someone to install a new septic system, maintain the one you already have, or diagnose a problem, take the time to know who you are hiring.

Look beyond the price.

Look at experience. Look at licensing. Look at reviews. Look at how long the company has been serving the community. Look at whether they are willing to explain what they found and why they are recommending a particular repair.

And if something does not feel right, ask questions.

A good septic company should not be bothered by that.

After more than 23 years in this industry, one thing has become very clear to us:

An experienced septic company matters. Reputation matters. And who you trust with your septic system matters.

At Coleman Aerobic, we are grateful for every homeowner who puts that trust in us—and we never take it lightly.
